Description
The USCCA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities.
The class also includes a Live Fire at the end of the course
Class Topics: Self Defense Firearm Basics: Basic Firearm Safety; Action, Parts & Understanding of Semi-Automatic Firearms & Revolvers; Selecting a Handgun; Ammunition; Malfunctions; Use of Force Options. Defensive Shooting Fundamentals: Definition; Shooting Platform; Proper Grip; Flash Sight & Sighted Fire; Trigger Control. Gear & Gadgets: Holster Retention; Types of Holsters; Belts; Tactical Flashlights; Laser Sights; Guns Safe and Storage. Basic & Advanced Skills: Creating a Training Program; Dry Firing; Fundamental Drill Discussion.
What to Bring: (Firearms and Ammo will be provided as well as light refreshments) light jacket, lunch, eye/ear protection (will be provided if needed), hat, closed toed shoes and NO low cut necklines on shirts.
What Students Will Receive: USCCA Certificate of Completion
