NRA Basic Rifle Class

Description

Class objective is to teach the skills, knowledge and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.

Class Topics: Rifle Knowledge, Parts and Safe Gun Handling; Ammunition; Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting in Various Positions; Hands On Rifle Exercises; Scoring Targets; Selecting and Maintaining A Rifle; Continued Opportunities for Skill Development; Live Fire (@Range); Review & Examination

What to Bring: (Firearms and Ammo will be provided as well as light refreshments) light jacket, lunch, eye/ear protection (will be provided if needed), hat, closed toed shoes and NO low cut necklines on shirts.  IF BRINGING OWN RIFLE please do not bring rifle and/or ammunition in classroom.

What Students Will Receive: NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure; Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Booklet; NRA Basic Rifle Completion Certificate; NRA Rifle Exam
