NRA Basic Shotgun Class

Description

Class objective is to teach the skills, knowledge and attitude necessary for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.

Class Topics: NRA’s Safe Gun Handling; Shotgun Parts and Operation; Ammunition/Components; Malfunctions; Shooting Fundamentals, Range Rules, Shooting at Straight Away and Angled Targets; Shotgun Cleaning; Continued Opportunities for Skill Development; Review and Examination

What to Bring: (Firearms and Ammo will be provided as well as light refreshments)    light jacket, lunch, eye/ear protection (will be provided if needed), hat, closed toed shoes and NO low cut necklines on shirts.  IF BRINGING OWN Shotgun please do not bring shotgun and/or ammunition in classroom.

What Students Will Receive:  NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure; Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Booklet; NRA Basic Shotgun Completion Certificate; NRA Shotgun Exam
